The Vietnam War is one of the most interesting topics for history buffs around the world. It is one of America’s longest foreign wars. In this war, the Cu Chi Tunnels were “ the most dangerous zone” for GIs and the South Vietnam Army. They were perhaps responsible for the success of the northern guerillas winning the war.
The Cu Chi tunnels are located in Ben Suc Village, about 70 km northwest from Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City. Viet Cong soldiers used these tunnels as hiding spots during combat, as well as for communication and as supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters for numerous North Vietnamese fighters. Women and children also made their homes in the tunnels at different points in the war.
Nowadays, Cu Chi Tunnels Tours is one of the most popular choices for tourists coming to Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City.
