Quang Binh has attracted a lot of tourists in recent years by its beauty of many world-famous natural sites, especially its appearance on King Kong film. The system of mysterious caves, charming of pristine beaches or even historic monuments have made Quang Binh become a heaven of destinations that tourists must visit once at least.
From April to August, with a cool and pleasant atmosphere, this is the beat time to travel to Quang Binh.
Like Halong Bay, Quang Binh has been endowded with many caves which are wonders of the world. If tourists have a plan to experience the system of caves, don’t forget to prepare good shoes, light clothes and have a good health.
Paradise Cave (Thien Duong Cave)
In the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, Thien Duong (Paradise) Cave which is recognised as a UNESCO heritage site, has become a favourite destination of both domestic and foreign tourists. It’s not a magnification as its name “royal underground”.
Son Doong Cave
Son Doong Cave which is in the heart of the Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park, is considered as the largest cave of the world. Its name means “mountain river cave”.
With a stunning and rarely beauty, Son Doong Cave become one of destinations for only lucky tourists because less people can go inside of the cave until now.
Phong Nha Cave
It is not a regular cave, is the longest subterranean river system and longest underground river cave in the world. During the trip to discover the system of caves in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, this is one of must-visit destinations for your adventure.
Hang Toi (Dark Cave)
The Dark Cave is smaller than Son Doong Cave. The origine of its name is that there is no artificial light installed inside the cave and with its total length of 6 kilometers it’s nothing but darkness. Moreover, the rocks inside the cave are dark, some gray some black.
Visiting this cave, beside of having an interesting experience of unique things inside, travelers can take a zip line, play in the mud, swim and kayak in a cool lake on Chay River, 5km from Dark Cave.

Nhat Le Beach
2km to the northeast from the centre of Dong Hoi city, Nhat Le Beach is as a natural picture of an immense white sand and blue sea.
Bai Da Nhay (Jumping rock beach)
Coming to Bo Trach district, beside of Phong Nha – Ke Bang landscape, this site is an attractive destination with a stunning beauty of beach and the special majestic rock cliffs. There are thousands rocks, which have strange shapes and different sizes, random arranged to create a wonderful rock ground.
Mooc Stream (Suoi Nuoc Mooc)
On the way of Ho Chi Minh road, Mooc Stream is 10 km northwest from Phong Nha Cave. The stream water is emerald and clear, a distinctive color of springs in Quang Binh karst area.
Van La Underground Tunnel
Van La Underground Tunnel belongs to Luong Ninh, a village which is 7km to the south of Dong Hoi city. Like other tunnels in Vietnam, this is a creative construction which expresses the united spirit of Vietnamese people during the war in the country.
Dong Hoi Citadel
Not so large as Hue Citadel, Dong Hoi Citadel is a complex of high fences and towers buit under the Nguyen Dynasty, 1,5km away from Nhat Le Beach. Dong Hoi citadel held an important position in many periods of the country’s history, especially during the Vietnam-France war. Nowadays, there is no more war in Vietnam, but the citadel is as a honorable symbol of Quang Binh. This is one of typical historic destinations in Vietnam.
