Situated on An Binh island, it’s a basic accommodation – no air con or other hotel style luxuries but it’s comfortable (in a spartan kind of way), clean and safe. Some rooms are dorm style. There isn’t much privacy in any rooms.
Vietnamese food is simple, authentic, fresh, with generous serves.
Owner used to be a boatman on the river so he knows the best things to see and the homestay also offers boat trips for guests. There’s nice walking and cycling from right outside the homestay as well.

Ba Linh Homestay (112/8 An Thanh, An Binh, Long Ho, Vinh Long)

overview-of-homestay

Rooms are small bungalows (no bathroom mind you) with fan and mosquito nets. So nothing to really disturb you. Spent time in a hammock reading, listening to music and enjoying the space.

If you want to get around, borrow a bike right there and bike around the area, see how the locals actually live.

During the evening you are invited to help with the food. Don’t worry it will be very simple and basic stuff. Salad or spring rolls. It is a laugh and always nice to know what you eat. Also since you are living with a family, you get to talk to them and have a laugh. You can talk to the owners’ niece whom just wanted to practice her english.
