A trip to Ho Chi Minh City would not be complete without a trip to the incredible Cu Chi tunnels. Most people travel to the Cu Chi tunnels by bus. But, there is a more stylish way to make the 70km journey north west of Ho Chi Minh City. Travel to the Cu Chi tunnels by boat.
The Cu Chi tunnels are located near Ben Suc Village, about 70 km North-West of Ho Chi Minh City. They are the most famous remnant of the military history of Vietnam. Spanning some 200km, this immense tunnel complex was used to fight against the French during the 1940s and to a larger extent, against the American forces during the 1960s.
The group tour price for the Cu Chi tunnels by boat is around $85 per person. There are two separate departure times in the morning, either 8am and 12am. If you choose the 8am departure time, you will be collected from outside your hotel at 7:30am or at 11:30am respectively.
A minibus will drive you to the Tan Cang pier. here you will board a luxury speedboat and be offered a light breakfast and fruits to enjoy, whilst viewing the scenery of the river.
Cu Chi tunnels by boat – at the tunnels
You will explore the Cu Chi tunnels to the fullest, visiting underground hideouts and booby traps. As well as the opportunity to explore the tunnels physically, which may not be for the faint of heart!

After the tour of the tunnels has finished, your guides will take you back to the boat which will head back to Tan Cang for a delicious 7 course traditional Vietnamese lunch.
You will be taken back to your hotel by minibus.
